  1. Actually plenty of people, I for one, have been mentioning that the US has all of these things. As well as suggesting that we destroy our nuclear and biological and chemical weapons, all the way back to the Ban the Bomb movement in the 40s and 50s. It’s just that people like Andy Rooney never listen. 🙂
As far as inviting UN inspection teams into the US, how does one go about doing this? Can an average citizen just send them an invitation? Is there a proper etiquette by which one can do this? Should I call Miss Manners?
Why doesn’t someone start a petition to do just this?

  2. Yes, of course. I was in college in the 50s; I remember also wanting to Ban the Bomb. I also actively protested our involvement in Viet Nam, Guatamala, El Salvador, the Persian Gulf, etc. etc. But I don’t have a newspaper column, so no one wants to quote me either. And you’re also right about Andy Rooney. But people know who he is. And I have signed every online petition against this war, but I don’t see them having any impact on policy at all. So, another one is probably not going to make any waves either. Congratulations on your New Pajamas.

  3. That has been at the back of my mind for some time now. The rest of the U.N. has to be thinking “Hey, if this cowboy rides off to war with THIS as his basis, how long until he comes to our country, using the same excuse?”
