Wild Women

Wild Women wear
tight jeans, western boots,
dance in bars
’til bras melt to skin
and wolves howl the hillsides.
Wild Women step hard
enough to warp the wood,
set the blues on fire —
all the better to
eye the eyes,
rope one or not,
sing full-moon songs
until dawn.

  1. One of the finest poems this week ~ Wild Woman .. I’d like to think I’ve been her a few times in my almost 73 years! Oh yes.

  2. This is the most comments I’ve gotten from any poem that I’ve linked to Magpie Tales. I guess everyone is fascinated by wild women. But you wouldn’t want to marry one. 🙂
