I’ve been so busy ranting about war and peace that I haven’t taken the time to check out some of my favorite bloggers. Of course, most of them are also ranting about war and peace.
Jennifer Balderama, for example, has added a link to this al-Jazeera mirror site She also has a post about an excellent piece in the Guardian explaining how the U.S. is selectively using international law to protect its interests while flagrantly ignoring/denying its own violations.
Jeneane Sessum has been rescued by RageBoy. Not surprising. Read about it here.
Shelley Powers has a wonderful post about hope, to which I link here in response to kmax's comment left on this post.
Richard Cody reveals some intimate personal details. :-)
Golden Mike Golby releases a rant to remember on 'America's Heart of Darkness.'
Meanwhile, I’m forcing myself to spend at least a half-hour each day cleaning out accumulated “stuff” in my apartment, including my old paper files. I unearthed my 1993 daily planner from when I was working. A decade ago, my life (both work and play) included being out ballroom dancing three nights a week; traveling to the State Council the Arts in NYC at least once a month for partnership meetings; giving poetry readings and going to them as a board member of the Hudson Valley Writers Guild; chairing several task forces, including one on diversity in the workplace; giving workshops on feminist spirituality; facilitating a Women’s Forum for single women; producing both a staff and a field newsletter; attending PR conferences at local universities; dating; etc. etc.
What a difference a decade makes. Now I have to go vacuum.

Golden? Elaine, you are forever blessed... :)
Yeah, too busy raving. It's a soul-destroying problem. We're all following desperate hopes of a miraculous peace snatched from the hell-hole Iraq has become we're too busy to visit each other. Jennifer, Jeneane, Richard, RB, Shell, and the rest of the superhuman crew are all always close to mind whatever I'm up to. I guess it's much like family. We begin to take each other for granted, in a good way, knowing each is battering away at their own chosen speed on matters close to all of us. In a way, it's comforting knowing what the blogroll's up to without having to check. But, yes, I do wish I would get out and about more often... Rant on, Mama, rant on...

Poetry readings?!
Oh my, a woman after my own heart. . .
Where is your poetry? I can't seem to find them here (while I wait for Rumi to arrive from amazon.com).
Break 'em out, let me gobble, I'm hungry.
